Which Provincial Butterfly Sanctuary are
you applying for?
The Sanctuary names in red are booked and will not be
available as business enterprises for twelve months from the date of the
booking having taken place. After the twelve month period, should the
intended Sanctuary not have been attempted to be built, then the booked
Sanctuary will become available. Sanctuary names marked in Black
are available for booking.
What does it cost me to
register this application with (BSSA)?
The application and registration is a simple
form to completed. On your request, it will be emailed to you and will be
attended to once you have replied and followed its set out procedures. The
cost for this service is a once off at R 350.00
What requirements are essential to (BSSA) in the next step of owning a
Provincial Butterfly Sanctuary?

To have an available site in which
the planned Butterfly Sanctuary will be housed. (Your own land)

The intention to purchase the rights
of the Provincial Butterfly Sanctuary desired. (Request information from
our offices)

To become a member of the
organization. (two-hundred and fifty rand per month)

To lodge a Registration and
application form and required fee. (three-hundred and fifty rand - once
off payment)

A complete in-house Environmental
Impact Assessment by either Conservation of Butterflies in South Africa (CBISA)
or South African Butterfly Breeding Association (SABBA). (Request
information from our offices)

Purchase the recommended plans for
the Provincial Butterfly Sanctuary. (eight-thousand, three hundred and
twenty rand - once off payment)
